Dr. V.N. Bacchil Young Scientist Award

Established in 2002, the Dr. V. N. Bachhil Young Scientist Award recognizes a young scientist each year based on their research work presented at the Annual Conference. 

Eligibility Criteria:

• The applicant must be below 35 years of age.
• The applicant must be a life member of the Indian Association of Veterinary Public Health Specialists (IAVPHS).
• Proof of age and life membership certificate/number must be submitted along with the application.
  
  

Application Process:

• Applications are invited for oral presentation of research work during the upcoming Annual Conference of IAVPHS.
• The research presented must be original and unpublished.
• An undertaking by the author is required, stating that the research has not been published elsewhere and that it will be submitted for publication to the Journal of Veterinary Public Health (JVPH) of IAVPHS.
  
  

Award Conditions:

• The winner is required to publish the presented research work (either in full or part) in the Journal of Veterinary Public Health.
• Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of the award by the association.
• The published work under this award will not be eligible for other awards of IAVPHS such as:

1. Dr. S.P. Singh Best Paper Award
2. Dr. P.D. Deshpande Best Paper in Epidemiology Award (published in the JVPH).

• Applicants submitting for the Dr. V.N. Bachhil Young Scientist Award and Prof. Mahendra Pal Zoonoses Award must provide separate research findings/manuscripts.
• The same research work cannot be presented for both awards.
