ABSTRACT
Listeria monocytogenes, a Gram- positive facultative intracellular organism, causes a number of important illnesses in human being and animals. In this study, hly gene of Indian isolate of Listeria monocytogenes was cloned, sequenced and results of sequence analysis showed 99%homology with hly gene of many strains of L. monocytogenes.Keywords: hly gene, Listeria monocytogenes, sequence analysis
