ABSTRACT

Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Weltevreden isolates from different hosts and geographical regions were subjected to RAPD analysis with two different primers to find out the heterogeneity and to trace the movement of the strains among the host and geographical regions. The primer I and II revealed existence of ten and seven RAPD profile of the pig and lizard isolate indicating movement of the organism on either side in the epidemiological cycle. The geographical analysis of the isolates did not reveal any similarity indicating localized circulation of the isolates.
