ABSTRACT

The antibiogram of 15 isolates of Yersinia entrocolitica isolated from foods of animal origin was studied towards 15 antimicrobial agents. The study indicated 100% resistance towards ampicillin and penicillin-G and 100% sensitivity against amikacin and gentamicin The multiple antibiotic resistance (MAR) index was noted to be ranging from 0.13 to 0.46.
