ABSTRACT
The residues of malathion in muscle and liver of poultry, following repeated dermal spray of this insecticide in concentrations i.e. 0.5% and 1% were measured. In muscle, the residues of malathion in birds of Group I and Group II after 14 days of first spray were 0.05 and 0.09 mg/kg, respectively. After the second spray, the residues of the insecticide increased gradually and were maximum on the 3rd day of the second spray i.e. 0.18 mg/kg for Group I and 0.26 mg/kg for Group II. Thereafter, the residues started decreasing and the residues of malathion in birds of Group I and II on 14th day of second spray were 0.11 and 0.16 mg/kg, respectively.
