Page No. : 135-137
ABSTRACT
Toxocara vitulorum is known to cause digestive disturbances and poor growth in young animals that result in great economic loss and may be one of the causes of visceral larva migrants in humans, which is of public health significance. In the present investigation, a comparative efficacy of albendazole and piperazine against natural infection of T. vitulorum based on faecal egg count in buffalo calves was studied. Albendazole was found comparatively more effective against naturally occurring T. vitulorum infection in buffalo calves. Keywords: Assam, Toxocara, visceral larva migrants
