One Health Approach to Combat Zoonoses of Pandemic Potential
Page No. : 80-85
ABSTRACT
Ecological aberrations lead to spillovers which on further propagation generate pandemics. The game is all within the epidemiological triad where host-vector-environment bond determines the sources of disease explosion. The factors of disease occurrence may be anthropogenic or natural, known or accidental and the degree/intensity of the disease generation governs the quality and quantity of its paroxysm nature. Hence, such risks always lie more with the cases of zoonotic diseases as these possess higher probable potentials to contract cross-boundary, specially the anthrapozoonoses, zooanthroponoses and amphixenoses aspects. The ongoing SARS-CoV-2 pandemic is the mirror of the same warping a huge human-resource counts. As a result, to arrest such death and inclusive-loss tolls, implementation of the one health concept is the need of the hour as it facilitates varsity of concerned inter-disciplinary contexts to analyse combinedly and produce judicious results for prevention and control measures. Keywords: One health, Pandemic, PD_ADMAS, SARS-CoV-2, Zoonoses
