ABSTRACT
Faecal samples of 358 cattle calves were collected from different districts of Kashmir valley.The samples were examined by modified acid fast staining for the presence of Cryptosporidium oocysts. Overall incidence of Cryptosporidium spp. was found to be 30.73%. The prevalence was high in the age group of 4-8 months (38.46%) and low in the age group of 8-12 months (20.68%). The seasonal prevalence was found to be highest in summer (40.38%) and lowest in autumn (26.82%).Keywords: Cattle calves, Cryptosporidium spp., Kashmir, prevalence, season
