ABSTRACT

Assessment of effectiveness of three days training program sponsored by NABARD on clean milk production in enhancing the knowledge level of farmers on clean milking practices through Capacity building on Adoption of Technology (CAT) was done by data collection using pre and post training questionnaires from 39 participants from Puducherry. Comparison of responses between different groups proved that the training has significantly increased the knowledge level of males, females, uneducated, school educated, graduates, participants with experience in dairy farming and participants without experience from 63 to 92 percent, 42 to 94 per cent, 58 to 96 per cent, 42 to 93 per cent, 64 to 91 percent, 50 to 94 percent and 45 to 90 per cent, respectively. The efficiency of the training program was statistically analyzed using paired `t` test which showed a significant increase in the overall knowledge level from 49 to 93 per cent.
